Long/Short Equity Analyst
We are currently mandated upon a role for a Senior Investment Analyst at a major New York Equity Hedge Fund. The successful candidate will be a highly intellectual fundamnetal analyst with an inquisitive mind and a generalist stock-picking approach.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- You will focus on long-short equities using bottom-up fundamental research
- You will be operating deep-dive analysis of stocks, regarding individual value-based investments.
- All aspects of risk management, position sizing, idea generation, and factor exposure which will in turn be presented to the Fund Managers
- Close interaction with the Portfolio Manager during all the stages of the investment process and trading implementation
- Identifying and investigating through due diligence and analysis of new stocks
- You will be a lead advisor in the portfolio construction
As a Senior Analyst on the team, you will have key input on the construction of the portfolio management as well as a route to a position as a Fund Manager within two years dependent on successful performance.
The right candidate should demonstrate the following traits:
- Experience in a high-alpha long-short equity Hedge Fund covering all areas of analysis and due diligence from a bottom-up approach
- Familiarity with the long/short equity strategy of at least 4 years
- Strong track record of mid to large cap stock coverage specific to equities
- A driven and keen mindset to drive in an internationally renowned Hedge Fund
- Active alpha-generating proprietary screening to add value to the fund in your Senior Analyst role
This is an ideal opportunity for long-short equity analysts to move to a globally established Hedge Fund in a senior role using key bottom-up, deep-dive analysis and alpha-generating skills. The Fund is looking to add just one Analyst to add value and capital through shrewd stock picking and so candidates must be outstanding and experienced in Long/Short equities, or will not be considered.
