Long/Short Strategy Portfolio Managers / Analysts recruitment
Within this leading investment manager, the portfolio managers perform detailed fundamental research on companies within a particular sector or industry group. Based upon years of experience, the PM's and their analysts have developed industry expertise, as well as a solid understanding of the market's perception and valuation of companies under their coverage.
Responsibilities:
- The PM's attempt to identify changes in fundamentals, which cause comparable companies to be mispriced in relation to each other.
- Strive to buy undervalued companies and short overvalued ones while maintaining a long/short book.
- Taking this relative value approach, the PM's attempt to capture the excess return as the perceived mispricing narrows as well as provide positive returns regardless of the performance of the specific market segment.
Our client is interested in hiring talented investment management professionals who can demonstrate a track record of successful management of investments within this strategy area. They would also look to hire analysts who understand this strategy.
