SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for effectively managing staff and for delinquency resolution of loans that are 30 days or more past due.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervise a group of up to 8 Special Servicing Representatives responsible for mitigation potential loss and risk
· Manage delinquency and ensure proper identification of necessary workout solutions including Modifications, Repayment Plans, Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure (DIL), Short Sales (S/S), and total cure
· Consistently review operational procedures and recommend area where there is opportunity for process improvement
· Plan, assign and monitor representative workflow and performance
· Ensure inbound and outbound collocation calls are maintained at acceptable levels on all loans so that sufficient coverage is met within the loan portfolio
· Handle all personnel related issues in a timely and consistent manner
· Ensure continuous development of the Special servicing Representatives. Success is determined by highly skilled agents identifying proper resolution and understanding the critical elements of their position
· Handle escalations from the floor. Follow up with mitigators to explain the results of the escalation so they will be better equipped to handle the situation in the future
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· 3+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry
· 3+ years’ experience working in a Loss Mitigation/Special Servicing department in which they have supervised and lead a productive team.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1+ year Loss Mitigation experience
· PC skills, (Word, Excel, Outlook) Fiserv a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and for operating office equipment (i.e., computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.)
