Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency is a 501(c) 3 non profit organization and has been providing home health care and community health services to the Twin Cities Metro Area since 1902. Our agency is located at 3433 Broadway St. NE, Suite 300 in Minneapolis, MN 55413 and we serve clients residing throughout the eleven county metropolitan area.
We serve individuals and families that are economically disadvantaged and at high risk for critical social and health issues. More than 90% of our clients residing in Minneapolis are living at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Many of these individuals, children and families require special support due to social issues and poverty and emotional / behavioral problems that put them at-risk for abuse or neglect.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Selected individual will perform prior authorization services for MVNA. Communicate effectively with internal and external staff and insurance companies. Problem-solve and data enter a variety of prior authorization information into the computer system. Be able to navigate through many eligibility systems and understand and articulate the information on the screens.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- LPN with current license in Minnesota
- One to two years experience working with insurance companies
- One to two years of healthcare authorization experience preferred
· Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
· Detail oriented with ability to prioritize work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone.
- Good computer skills (45-50 wpm) with high level of accuracy
- Minimum of one year experience in word processing and data entry procedures with high level of accuracy.
- Experience working in databases preferred.
