Lumber Buyer / Production Manager Job in T2P1H4
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
*Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
*Setting up ?contracts? with suppliers/contractors for the procurement of materials, products or services.
*Making sure that we receive what was ordered correctly and on time.
Work with the sites and Area Coordinators to insure efficient inventory control.
*Preparing cost analysis reports on the products we purchase and making recommendations based on cost, type and quality of products/services ordered.
*Sourcing and pricing products, services, suppliers contractors in adherence to company expectations
*Prepare and negotiate competitive bids and agreements
*Prepare and review consumption reports and make recommendations for standardization or changes to existing products or services.
*Excellent time management skills
Job Experience:
Production management and Back ground in Lumber products, purchasing, lumber cutting and processing, wooden pallets/pallet manufacturing required.
Candidates must have completed their High School Diploma, and post-secondary education is considered an asset. Back ground in Sales would also be an asset.
