Luxury fast growing gym and sports clubs seeking financial controller
A luxury, fast growing collection of gym and sports clubs are seeking a self-motivated group financial controller.
The gyms are at the top-end of the market; they are private member clubs and employ around 200 members of staff across five clubs in central London. The group is fast growing, privately owned with a dynamic feel. The environment is energised and fast paced. The group aim is to grow and increase its market presents as a premium service provider.
This role will form part of a team that determines and maintains the groups approach to financial control activities. The financial controller will report directly to the CFO, who in turn reports to CEO, which gives fantastic exposure to the operational management team. This role requires a self-motivated individual who enjoys the challenges of working within a fast paced environment.
The financial controller will be in charge of quarterly management reporting, business planning and appraisals as well as identifying and recommending systems efficiencies and improvements.
The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA/CA or CIMA with experience of working within a retail or leisure sector. Candidates should be used to working under IFRS / UK GAAP. Previous experience within blue chip companies an advantage.
