LVL III STAFF RN - CLINIC
As the leader of the health care team, provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Demonstrates performance consistent with the Medical Center Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan of the organization. Remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect. Essential Functions: The Registered Nurse demonstrates proficiency by exhibiting the following skills, competencies, and behaviors: - Leadership - Nursing Process - Documentation - Clinical Outcomes - Workplace Safety - Patient Care Experience - Ensures clean, orderly, and functional work environment - Team Commitment - Fiscal Responsibility Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Current CA RN licenseand AHA BLS Certification. - One (1) year recent (within the last three (3) years) full time equivalent experience in acute care or ambulatory care. - ONS Provider Card required. Preferred Qualifications: - High level infusion skills. - Knowledge of Central Venous Access devices. - Critical patient assessment skills. - Excellent communication skills. Notes: - This is an eight (8) hour shift. - Work hours may vary between the hours of 7:00 am - 9:00 pm. -Days may vary. - Weekend and holiday rotation. - Position will primarily cover Infusion Therapy in the Zion OTC. - May float to Otay Mesa and San Marcos OTC's. - May be expected to work in the Chemotherapy suite.
