M&A Associate recruitment

My client is one of the most active MA firms in London with an outstanding reputation in the mid-market space. They have developed such a strong franchise that clients approach them for deals meaning only a fraction of their time is spent pitching new ideas.

Due to the success of their business they are looking to hire an Associate who can lead all aspects of the deal process from initial presentations through to completion. The main focus is on dealing with sell-side mandates for private equity backed deals. The firm enjoys plenty of repeat business as a result of the quality of their work and out of London cover European, African and Asian markets, so there is plenty of cross border activity.

The firm operates a generous bonus scheme for all staff, but especially the juniors and has not had to make any redundancies during the current downturn, or during 2008/2009 showing the strength of their platform.

To be considered for this position you will need to be able to prove:
*Exceptional execution skills on sell-side PE backed deals
*Strong technical skills around financial modelling and report writing
*A passion for MA work, with a pro-active approach
*Mid-Market deal experience

Ideally candidates will also be able to demonstrate:
*International deal experience
*At least one additional language to English
*Experience within Business Services, Industrials or Consumer

This is an ideal position for someone coming out of a top 6 accountancy firm in lead advisory or from a boutique advisory house that is looking for more autonomy, better deal-flow, improved career progression and a better total package. Applicants from the larger banks will still be considered providing they can prove they have the experience listed above.
