Machine Operator- 2nd 3rd Shift

Job Description Eaton Corporation's Automotive facility in Kearney, NE has open positions for Machine Operators on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: -Monitors bank of machines, checking and gauging parts to ensure machines are running to print specifications -Adjusts machines, tooling, and wheels to keep parts withing specific tolerances -Assists in maintenance and changeover of machinery -Keeps work area clean and ree of hazards-maintains 5S housekeeping and safety standards -Completes paperwork and checks gauges after changeovers to approve machines to run -Completes Statistical Process Control charts as required -Reads process sheets to determine proper dimensions and gauge to use -Follows safety policies and procedures in the performance of listed daily functions -Ability/willingness to work 7 days a week (if needed) -Actively participates in continuous improvement teams -Performs other tasks and responsibilities, as needed or assigned Preferred skill set: -Understanding of Statistical Process Control -Ability to correctly read and interpret blueprints -Previous fork truck operation experience -Mechanical aptitude -Desire and ability to assist department in meeting and/or exceeding operational goals *Ideally, candidate would have a minimum of one year previous work experience in a similar position Working conditions: Workers are subject to extreme heat, noise that requires hearing protection, exposure to hazards which include a variety of physical conditions and the following atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mist, oil, and other cutting fluids through air and/or skin exposure. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Candidates for this position should possess the following: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Must be able to meet physical requirements: standing, twisting, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, and ability to carry and/or lift up to 40 lbs.
