Machine Operator / Furnace Man Job in Revesby 2212, New South Wales Australia
Our customer in Revesby that cast and forge metal products from exhaust manifolds to pump bodies are looking for an experienced person to work as a Furnace Man.
This is a day shift position from 6.00 - 2.00pm
Position is a temp to perm position for the right person.
Casual pay rate of $23.00 to start with.
As the Furnace Man you will work with the industrial metallurgist to make up the right blend of steel or alloy for the particular job that you are doing. You will be working with an experienced Furnace Man to start until you are competent to do it on you own. You will be weighing the steel and then putting it into the furnace until it is molten then you will be pouring it in to the moulds for the job you are doing.
You will need to have worked in a heavy manufacturing environment, as this is a hot and dusty job. This is a very manual position as you are putting the different steels into the furnace to get the right blend for the product you are making.
To be considered for this position you should have the following:
- Worked is foundry before is desired but not essential
- Worked as a machine operator in an industrial operation
- Be fit and healthy as it is a very manual job.
- Be able to work in a hot and dusty environment.
- Willing to be trained and follow instruction.
- Able to work in a hot environment.
- Able to work as part of a small team.
- Good communication skills
