Machine Operator Tech Lead will report to and receive assignments, instructions and directions from the Shift Supervisor. Position will perform all work assignment and duties expected of a fully qualified craftsman in the assigned department. He or she will also assist supervisor in ensuring employee compliance with established schedules, company production standards and safety requirements. Lead will also investigate and resolve production problems.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with supervisor or engineering regarding technical fabrication problems.
- Adjust work assignments, and assigns or reassigns work to department personnel as job conditions demand, ensuring proper work methods and safety rules and procedures are observed.
- Inspect in-process or completed work to ensure compliance with production standards, design specifications, blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
- Investigate employee reports of out of tolerance or abnormal conditions or events, determines causes, and takes or recommends corrective actions as appropriate.
- Train new employees in departmental operating methods, machine tool set up and operating procedures, company policies and procedures, etc.
- Evaluate employee capabilities, determines training requirements, monitors employee progress, and recommends upgrade actions.
- Investigate employee policy or rule infractions, determines degree of severity of offense, and recommends disciplinary actions.
- Review job production and job quality reports for accuracy and completeness investigates background and conditions contributing to below average or poor performances, and takes and recommends corrective actions as necessary.
Required:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
