Machinery Position
These personnel are responsible for maintaining the high value Automated Material Handling System in the Fab. I see lots of candidates with only or mainly electrical experience, and many of them are very good candidates; but, having mechanical experience (motors, belts, pneumatics, etc.) is also very important. The position will work 4x10 hr shifts and will rotate days so they can generally "share" most weekends, ie, have either Saturday or Sunday off most of the time. This position may require sitting or standing for long periods of time, will require use of ladders (could be 16-20 feet high), and will be in tight places.
Summary
This position provides AMHS system support, error recovery, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, repair, corrective, preventative, and emergency maintenance, and/or adjustments necessary to keep the AMHS system at maximum performance and capability. These activities must be performed in a safe and efficient manner. This requires 100% FAB floor coverage. Field Service personnel are expected to conduct their work efforts, communications, and interfacing with all co-workers in a professional, positive, and responsible manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
FST duties include, but are not limited to:
• 100% floor coverage in the FAB and shift overlap for shift-shift pass down. At times this may require overtime to cover the overlaps, coverage gaps, etc.
• Reporting, tracking, procedures, processes, standards, and paperwork compliance in order to provide such support in a repeatable and organized manner.
• FSTs will follow the direction of the Murata Site Lead. All work performed will be performed in a safe, organized, clean, and efficient manner. This includes good housekeeping, safe work practices, effective communication, and adherence to Customer Murata work policies and procedures.
• FSTs may at times be required to write, edit, develop, and instruct processes and procedures as directed by the site lead.
• Sustainers will be responsible for maintaining the conditions of the shop, work areas, tool boxes, parts rooms, etc. used for sustaining support at their site.
• Sustainers will be required to perform work in a good workmanlike and efficient manner.
• Sustainers must maintain a vigilant and continuous skill building habit of reading, studying, and utilizing manuals, drawings, as well as written and oral instruction on equipment they support. It is the responsibility of the FST to maintain their expertise level and request additional training, clarifications, or answers to elements of his job, technical information, or policies he/she does not understand.
• Sustaining work will require working in ceilings, tight places, and on elevated equipment (ladders and lifts).
