Job Scope:
- CNC Machines: Low to medium volume production of precision machined components gears FOR THE AIRCRAFT, AEROSPACE MEDICAL industries. MORI-SEIKI CITIZEN AZUMA HAAS
- Candidate must posess skills to program, set-up, operate edit on their own with minimal oversight supervision.
- Must be capable of performing 1st Piece Inspection Quality Checklist using standard shop measuring tools to include verniers, micrometers, profilometers, dial bore gages, plug gages, dial indicators, Optical Comparator CMM.
- Duties:
- Comprehensive working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GDT) symbols is required.
- Must have concentrated experience machining precipitation hardening (PH) stainless steel alloys (13-8, 15-5 17-4). We als0 work with titanium, bronze, brass, copper alloy steels.
- Program, Set-up, operate, edit maintain equipment.
- Set-up machine including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation.
- Must be skilled posess working knowledge in basic math, geometry, and trigonometry (sine, cosine, tangent).
- Must be capable of proving out part programs.
- Set-up depending on machine may include: Boring jaws in three jaw chucks (hydraulic, air collet types), modifying/grinding own tools, secondary machining attachments, collets, bushings, gears, stops, indicating tramming fixtures vises.
- Must be capable of offsetting to maintain drawing dimensions specifications by observing taking measurements, sharpening and replacing worn tools.
- Must follow STD Precision Gear Quality standards by adhering to strict quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Lean practices to maintain work area for safe operations by adhering to safety procedures shop cleanliness housekeeping standards.
- Update job knowledge by reading technical publications communicating with foremen, quality control engineering personell.
- Personal Skills Qualifications: Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, attention to detail, exercise good judgment/character most of all have a friendly demeanor/disposition.
- Must be willing to work up to 10 hrs. per day overtime up to 10 hours per week as a precondition to employment.
