Macquarie Leasing offers products including consumer loans, finance leases, novated lease agreements, chattel mortgage and commercial hire purchases for motor vehicles and other income producing plant and equipment.
Continual investment in sophisticated, leading edge technology has contributed to their market leading position. Due to the continued growth of Macquarie Leasing, there are currently several opportunities available for experienced Collectors to join the team.
Reporting to the Collections Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and timely actioning of delinquent accounts ranging from 1 day in arrears through to repossession.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Initiating the most cost effective course of action for resolving delinquent accounts
- Maintaining accurate records of account transactions
- Negotiating payments arrangements to clear arrears adhering to policy guidelines
- Promptly engaging mercantile agents where required
- Displaying negotiation problem solving skills
- Actively monitoring progress of outstanding accounts under their control
- Ensuring arrears are cleared prior to next due payment
- Ensuring workload is completed within specified timeframe
- Ensuring securities are not in jeopardy
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven collections experience preferably in a secured collections environment
- Strong business acumen and experience in customer service/relationship building
- Working knowledge of all relevant legislation and the ability to comply
- General knowledge of financial products - leasing knowledge is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong client service orientation
- Ability work effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Be a team player with peers management
- Ability to resolve problems, logically, efficiently and cost effectively
- A willingness to train others and readily share knowledge and technical skills
- Tertiary Education - desirable but not essential
