Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
The MSG team are looking for a Desk Assistant to support the Asia ex-Japan Equity Sales (UK Europe desk) within Macquarie Securities Group. The responsibilities are as follows:
- Booking and attending corporate client meetings
- Booking and attending meetings with Macquarie Analysts
- Interacting with Macquarie sales staff and research analysts worldwide and facilitating the relationship between the London and Asia offices
- Answering the telephone and dealing with all calls professionally
- Assisting in organisation of road shows and providing logistical planning for road shows
This role is pivotal to the success of the teams and provides an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated Administration Assistant/ Coordinator looking for a position that offers both diversity and personal growth and someone looking to develop a career within Investment Banking. To be successful in this role you will:
- Have basic skills in a Chinese language (mandatory)
- Have excellent communication skills and be extremely confident in a client facing role
- Ideally have experience in a similar role or within a fast paced client facing environment
- Have the ability to work well under pressure and adaptable to different work and communication styles
- Exercise appropriate judgement and discretion, especially when handling confidential information
- Demonstrate a proactive approach with the ability to fully understand the nature of the business and priorities within the team
- Be organised and able to multitask, can demonstrate strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail
- Have enthusiasm and interest for market
- Have comprehensive PC skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
