Macro Economist /Investment strategist – Global Markets – Asset management
Your role will have a combination of Macro-economic research, Market strategy and asset allocation and Thematic Research and you will work closely with portfolio managers, clients and prospects and will also contribute actively to the various publications and projects of the department.
In order to Apply you must have:-
3 to 7 years within Economic research with substantial experience of fixed income Markets
Demonstrable knowledge of central bank policies
Conducted research on modeling the economy, GDP and inflation forecasting
Experience covering growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policies for the major economies, including macroeconomic risk assessments
Provided regular assessment of the economic and financial market development and conducting macroeconomic forecasts
Your responsibilities will include:-
Working as the Macro Economist/investment Strategist
In depth coverage of Global economy, including monetary and fiscal policies.
Asset allocation recommendations as well as regional/country recommendations.
Estimation of cyclical as well as long term trends for growth, inflation, interest rates and exchange rate.
formulation of an investment view (short and long-term) for the specific asset class
Producing and marketing regional economic and strategy analysis
Analysis of long-term economic and structural development issues
Produce macro analysis for fixed income and FX investors.
Preparing internal briefings and reports for the executive board
Applicants must be a strong macroeconomist with a distinguished academic background (MS/PhD) from a leading school.
You will be joining a high level team of economists and should be able to demonstrate in depth thoughts and ideas on the Macro economy and central banking policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced economist to join in a role where you will have full exposure to the portfolio managers and developing key investment strategy recommendations.
