Macro-Economist (PhD) (G8 +5) Portfolio Strategist
The role is to provide top-down economic expertise to a group of global fixed income investment managers. The candidate will have a PhD in Economics and 3-5 years working for an asset manager/investment firm analyzing macro-economic trends in the major western countries and the largest EM countries. The candidate will conduct econometric and statistical research on the global economies and must be able to provide sector and asset investment advice to the investment team. This is an investment role for a PhD economist with demonstrated experience at bridging academic research and applying this knowledge to practical investment trends. Only PhD candidates who have strong verbal and written communication skills should apply. The role involves extensive interaction with Portfolio Managers and Clients and is an integral member of the investment team.
