Macro trading strategist – asset allocation team
. You will be working as the FX and rates analyst taking primary coverage for the New Zealand and Australian Market with secondary coverage of china.
Your responsibilities will include:-
Producing Macro economic reports on the AUZ and NZ dollar and keeping abreast of inflation reports.
Delivering key investment recommendations to the team through written and oral presentations.
Liaising with the economics department and the portfolio managers to take control of long term investments
This is an excellent opportunity for a strategist/economist to move to the buy side and generate actionable investment ideas.
Please note that candidates without the following criteria will not be considered:-
Experience developing forecasts either as a strategist or economist with primary focus on New Zealand and Australian market within an Asian market setting
Currently working at Associate or Junior VP level.
Some experience developing research reports.
Applicants outside of Asia may be considered if you fit all of the above criteria.
The role will be reporting directly to the head of research therefore you will have a key position within the firm with significant responsibility.
Long term progression will lead in the direction of Portfolio management
