Maintenance & Electronic Technician Job in Goshen 46526, Indiana US
PURPOSE:
To repair and maintain equipment to to allow maximum production
POSITION DEMANDS:
- Qualified to perform duties to troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, pneumatic hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
- Able to understand and program PLCs, HMIs VFDs. (A/B and Wonderware preferred)
- Able to read, understand and modify ladder logic programming.
- Knowledge of closed loop or PID control and the instrumentation used for process feedback is a plus.
- Able to understand single/three phase, and control wiring.
- Able to read and understand schematic diagrams.
- Certification to operate Fork Lift.
- Able to use band saw, drill press, pipe threader and common tools safely.
- Able to use tape measure with decimal and fraction scales.
- Able to complete required paperwork.
- Able to use basic math skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a continuous production environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of lock out tag out requirements.
- Able to work 3rd shift but flexible to cover absences on other shifts as needed.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications required.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
This position will need to interact with Management, Production, Outside Contractors, Shipping, Office and Maintenance personnel.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide necessary support for the line whenever maintenance issues arise.
- Perform PM's on equipment.
- Perform necessary job work orders.
- Complete paperwork/computer work as needed.
- General housekeeping duties of work area.
- Lead machine modifications.
- Support Engineering in data acquisition, machine upgrades and repairs.
- Support continuous improvement iniatives through projects or Kaizen event participation.
- Active participation in plant/ department safety programs.
- Assist in root cause investigations for equipment failures and process issues.
