Maintenance Line Mechanic
IKO Midwest islocated in Kankakee, Illinois. We are a manufacturer of roofing products have an opening for a Maintenance Line Mechanic.
We operate a high speed production line that manufactures roofing shingles. This position supports the running of this line. The position requires someone who can think on their feet and be able to troubleshoot the line for issues as they may occur. Interaction with good communication between production and maintenance (mechanical and electrical) is key to this position.
The individual we are looking for will support production with the following qualifications:
· 5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment in a high speed continuous process manufacturing environment.
· Millwright with welding and basic electrical knowledge is required.
· Experience with Preventative and Predictive maintenance.
· Strong troubleshooting experience.
· Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate within a team environment. This includes coaching abilities.
· The ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift, which includes week-ends.
This candidate will have either an associates degree or some college credit hours toward a related degree.
