Maintenance Manager
Excellent opportunity to join a GROWING TEAM! We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for an automotive manufacturing facility in the Mid-West.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the following functions, including but not limited to:
- Develop, write, implement, plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to the design, construction, modification, and preventative/corrective maintenance of all equipment and machinery in the plant.
- Establish minimum and maximum inventories of spare parts for all equipment. Order, organize and maintain all spare parts and maintenance tooling.
- Identify, tag, and track all equipment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective work order systems and procedures for maintenance.
- Directly and indirectly train all department employees to an adequate level of knowledge for full support of equipment.
- Negotiate with outside contractors and vendors for bids on new projects and items that may be more effectively serviced by outside contractors.
- Produce reports as required for tracking of expenditures, excess overtime and other items.
- Schedule and organize work and tasks for Maintenance Associates.
- Provide technical and managerial assistance to the Plant Manager.
- Maintain TS16949/ISO14001 policies, procedures, work instructions and forms.
Candidates should have the following qualifications and/or experience:
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, AS400, computer-generated PM program.
- Mechanical skills including welding and fabricating, machining, hydraulic systems, injection molding, conveyors, ovens and burners, experience with pipefitting, air handling to include air make-up and HVAC systems.
- Electrical skills including strong trouble shooting skills in control wiring, reading electrical schematics, and PLC controls.
- Poke Yoke systems including vision and color systems; understanding/training on ladder logic is a plus.
- Automotive manufacturing and assembly experience is a must.
