Maintenance Manager (Engineering). Caribbean Job in London, London UK
Our client is a resort operator in the Caribbean. Based on a small island they are running a hotel, luxury villas and other facilities
We are working in partnership with our client to identify and select a Maintenance Manager (engineering) with a strong background as Chief Engineer (or similar leadership role) in a luxury resort setting. Thorough knowledge of HVAC and electricity is required. Overseas experience is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities of the position are as follows:
- To oversee the management and planning of the maintenance operations of the hotel, including refrigeration, heating/air conditioning, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, Spa, ice machines, swimming pools, lightning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, switch rooms, housekeeping/laundry equipment, roof exhausts, electrical substations and grounds.
- Be responsible and accountable for the planning and implementation / ongoing preventative maintenance program.
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety standards of product quality and reporting deficiencies to the General Manager.
- Accountable for the actual expense against approved maintenance expenses budget.
- Provide direction, support and development of staff with planned career progression programmes.
- Be actively involved in planning and implementation of the safety and security effort at the property.
- Be responsible for the department’s profit and loss, accomplished in setting and achieving of budgets.
