Maintenance Mechanic - Manufacturing Equip

Position Summary:
Perform machine work to condition or re-condition label presses and equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on presses, and other plant equipment as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and repair in a timely manner mechanical/electrical/ electronic problems reported by operators. Adjust work schedule to handle equipment breakdowns while minimizing production downtime.
- Troubleshoot related processing problems (e.g. roller settings, static interference, etc.) and coordinate with operator to resolve.
- Operate precision equipment to perform repair of equipment (e.g. lathe, milling machine, arc welder, drill press, band saw, etc.)
- Perform preventive and routine equipment maintenance according to established schedules.
- Complete required paperwork (work orders, equipment logs, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic:
- High School Diploma/GED and an electrical or mechanical certification
- Require two years electro/mechanical printing equipment operation/ repair experience in the printing industry
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Math skills including shop math (decimals, fractions, percentages and linear scales)
- Ability to read electronic/electric diagrams
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, electronics, and related measuring equipment
- Prefer press/label operator experience and experience swith computerized/mechanical equipment
