Job Description:
Daytop is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic position which performs a variety of duties relating to construction maintenance and repair.
Principal Responsibilities:
§ Lay out build partitions; install doors and hardware, hang ceilings; install cabinets; paneling; flooring; repair minor electrical problems; repair minor plumbing problems; taping and spackling; painting; tile work.
§ Able to follow directions and simple layout plans.
§ Report to assigned Supervisor unforeseen conditions – requiring extra time and material.
§ Performs other related activities as indicated or directed by appropriate authority.
§ Able to travel to between Swan Lake and Parksville facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
§ Valid NYS Driver’s License.
§ High School Graduate/Equivalent in working in the building trades.
§ 5 – 10 years experience as a mechanic in carpentry.
§ Working knowledge of other trades.
§ Basic computer skills a plus.
