Proximity Systems is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of the Company’s machinery and physical plant. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, strong technical job knowledge and proficiency, and flexibility.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. 

·         Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance.

·         Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.

·         Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

·         Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

·         Performs a variety of skilled duties for the purpose of maintaining, repairing, or remodeling of company facilities.

·         Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Experience with equipment maintenance and repair, mechanical, electrical and electronic, plumbing, painting, and minor carpentry.

·         Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email.

·         Knowledge of basic safety.

·         Able to use hand and power tools.

·         Bilingual a plus.
