Maintenance Planner Job in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia Canada

This leading global mining company, with its head office for Canada based in Vancouver and operations in BC and has several new projects on the go. They are looking for talented individuals to assist with their existing operations, as well as new projects. This position will report directly to the Site Long Term Maintenance Planner.
Rotation: 5 and 2
Relocation: Assistance provided temporary housing provided.
Responsibilities:
· The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the continuous development of the site maintenance strategies to ensure maximum production from equipment.
· Process Management provides leadership to the maintenance planning function, ensuring work is being completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
· Develop and manage the mine maintenance and reliability program by determining the specific maintenance work required to maximize availability.
· Establish good working relationships with the other departments.
· Liaise with various suppliers to discuss maintenance, spare parts, and new products.
· Review daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance, reliability and operations schedules and performance reports within timelines established.
Qualifications Requires:
· Degree or diploma in a technical field, or possess a valid Inter-Provincial trade qualifications certificate in a related field.
· A minimum of two (2) years practical experience in planning and scheduling both short and long term maintenance initiatives.
· Previous supervisory experience complimented with a proven work record in preventative, predictive, and reliability maintenance programs in the mining environment.
· Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
· Understanding of short and long term maintenance planning objectives.
· Experience in the use of a Computer Maintenance Management System and in particular Ellipse is considered highly desirable
· Maintenance experience with heavy mobile equipment is highly desirable, with a particular preference towards Komatsu and Caterpillar equipment,
· Budgetary experience is also considered desirable
