Maintenance Program- Technical Publications Supervisor Posted on: 03/12/12 Job Number: 91 Location: Phoenix, AZ Description: Provides supervision to the maintenance programs and technical publications department to produce an efficient, cost effective maintenance program maximizing safety, reliability and economic benefit. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises Maintenance Program Specialists and Technical Publications Specialist assigned to the supervisors fleet at multiple locations - Develops and or implements program changes in compliance with FAA regulatory and company requirements to include the Reliability Control Board processes - Provides oversight of task job card revision processes - Ensures that personnel are properly trained and allocated work assignments - Coordinates other departments requirements within the maintenance program - Develops metrics designed to measure the progress and effectiveness of departmental initiatives ensuring industry best practices are implemented as required - Assist in the aircraft acquisition and bridging process - Interacts directly with the FAA for maintenance program and task card related issues - Represents the Company at manufacturer and industry fleet specific steering committee groups and conferences, to provide company input used for industry and manufacturer maintenance program changes - Performs other duties as directed by Maintenance Programs management If you would like more information about Volt please visit our website at . Requirements: - Related undergraduate degree or equivalent related experience and training - Minimum of five years experience in aircraft maintenance programs on Part 121 transport category aircraft or in a related capacity. - Knowledge of one or more fleets -- B757, B737, B767, A330, A319, A320, A321, E190, and/or Embraer type aircraft preferred - Supervisory experience preferred - Technical writing experience preferred. Knowledge of MSG-3 preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem resolution ability - Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize projects, and work effectively in dynamic work environment - Proficient with Microsoft Office software - Ability to travel; must have valid passport if requested for travel For this specific position team would like to emphasize previous Program experience in managing OEM generated documents (MPD / MRBR's) along with supervisory experience that produced positive results.
