Maintenance Superintendent

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Superintendent for our Louisville, OH, facility. This positions reports to the plant manager.
This position works with operations supervisors, planners, and purchasing personnel on a daily basis. Routine interaction occurs with vendors and contract personnel.
Position responsibilities include:
- Directing, managing, and coordinating all maintenance activities with responsibility for safety, productivity, and quality of all maintenance operations in a 24 x 7 operating environment. Serving as Project Manager for major maintenance projects.
- Driving the development and improvement of all Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Programs.
- Managing maintenance contracts and maintenance contractors. Track and report activity related to performance measures of equipment, including but not limited to maintenance activities, oil consumption and major plant downtime.
- Ensuring contract and personnel issues are handled uniformly throughout the department, and working with local USWA representatives to resolve grievances within the maintenance organization.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance manager/supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to summarize and present clear and concise reports
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with computer systems
- Flexible in terms of work hours
Experience working with metal-producing equipment is preferred. Experience working in a union environment is a plus, as is experience with Maximo.
