Maintenance Supervisor
Supervise crew of mechanic technicians to ensure manufacturing lines are running
Position is responsible for supervision of programs, hourly maintenance employees, procedures, and goals to ensure that plant personnel are safe, productive and effectively utilized
Individual will must be able to work effectively with other key areas of the facility as well as coach and develop others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning, scheduling, documenting, and verifying all maintenance work to be performed (planned and unplanned).
Ensures food safety and quality are maintained at all times
•Work closely with Operations to effectively maintain all plant processing, packaging and support equipment in proper running order, while meeting all government mandated criteria necessary to continue plant operations.
•Managing environmental impact to meet or exceed governmental standards and company policies.
•Developing an effective parts management strategy.
•Responsible for effective plant capital project budgeting and successful project execution.
•Work closely with Operations to review and audit the preventive/predictive maintenance programs for assigned production and facility equipment to ensure a safe, efficient operation with a minimum of cost and downtime.
•Broad base knowledge of electric motors, belt, chain and gear drives, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC systems.
•Ability to effectively troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and implement repairs.
Qualifications:
•Associates Degree is preferred although significant experience and special training may be acceptable in absence of a degree
•5 -10 years experience in maintenance operations, preferably in food manufacturing.
•Familiarity with FDA and GMP guidelines.
•Experience with Hydraulic, Boiler and HVAC is a plus
•Experience with Maximo software is a plus
•Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision - position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive change.
