Qualifications:

Job Goals:
Supervise the maintenance function for the entire Wayne, NJ facility operation including plant, corporate, and RD areas. Maintain and promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Education, Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Three or more years relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to design, manage, and implement projects of technical nature.
• Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
• Team facilitation and project management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal and technical writing.
• Computer skills necessary to fulfill requirements of position including integration of preventive maintenance database record system.
• Self motivated worker, able to act independently and set priorities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software systems.

Responsibilities:
• Abide by company policies and procedures at appropriate level.
• Ensure proper and expedient preventive maintenance service to all production areas and support departments.
• Researches and recommends changes to manufacturing processes to provide greater personal and/or environmental safety.
• Supervise daily activity of subordinates. In addition, develop personal/departmental goals and objectives and critique previous performance and develop training plans with each employee through an annual review.
• Develop and maintain records of all equipment and provide an effective Preventive Maintenance Program including provision of adequate stock of appropriate spare parts and materials to support manufacturing and general requirements.
• Manage maintenance work order program and provide estimated completion dates.
• Interact with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Leads or participates in cost improvement and/or waste reduction programs.
• Initiates, monitors, and maintains facility security.
• Coordinates projects with other departments.
• Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality of services.
• Participate in self-development and training others.
• Initiates/Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.
• Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
• Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
• Implement Environmental Non-Conformant corrective action.
