Maintenance Supervisor Job in Preston, Minnesota Us
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling and completion of plant work orders needed for repair or upgrades. This position discusses plans with the Maintenance Manager to maximize performance and help control the Repair and Maintenance Budget. The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on position with expectation that the individual assists in all maintenance function to include the management and operation of the tool crib and spare parts inventory. The Maintenance Supervisor is also in charge of setting up preventative/proactive maintenance schedules for all equipment and maintaining up-to-date procedures for executing same.
REQUIREMENTS
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits and equipment, and 4-20 milliamp instrumentation.
· Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo is preferred.
- Team member must have working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for both construction and manufacturing environments.
· Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
- Some experience with fabrication, welding, cutting; repair of equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, agitator assemblies, and valves; boiler operations and water chemistry; material handling systems such as conveyors; preventative/proactive maintenance practices, fabrication and repair of metal/plastic piping systems; and instrument and electrical work preferred.
