Maintenance Supervisor responsible to supervise Plant Business Unit equipment maintenance and maintenance technicians.
Implements business objectives, strategies, plans, supports company programs/policies and manages daily work functions. Responsible for selecting, coaching, and developing employees.
Directly responsible for plant production equipment, maintenance reliability, and team productivity.
Insures the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through technical leadership, good preventive maintenance practices and the use of continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:
• Assists SPO's, IM and PES's in troubleshooting issues that affect equipment and the facility. Coordinates all routine/preventative/emergency repairs and facilitates continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities in the assigned area of a plant, in accordance with the company's policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Coach and develop employees through communication and measurement of performance and provide appropriate on-going feedback.
• Establish, monitor and control costs per approved budget.
• Ensure the timely and reliable maintenance of the plant facility.
• Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments, including Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality organizations.
• Perform project management responsibilities regarding equipment, major overhauls and other projects as assigned.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents necessary to obtain firm pricing for contractor work and oversees and supervises contractors working within the facility.
• Prioritizes workload and projects for the production maintenance department.
• Duties include maintaining a safe and healthful working environment as well as maintaining competitive product costs and quality.

Requirements for this position include the following:
A BS/BA degree in Engineering or related technical field with 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience including electrical, PLC's, and computer systems. Prior supervisory experience is required to lead and direct maintenance technicians and contingent workers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate expectations, coach employees, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with other departments.
• Supervisory skills including the ability to implement action plans for achieving objectives, and to manage daily operations toward long term objectives within a manufacturing production facility.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, initiatives, and assigned commitments within the maintenance budget.
• Proven experience to exercise leadership and diplomacy when collaborating and working with all levels of employees and outside contractors.
• Leadership and teamwork skills to develop and promote collaborative working relationships within their crew, other maintenance crews and among departments.
• Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office, preventative maintenance systems, and maintenance management systems
• Experience in pharmaceutical aseptic/sterile manufacturing facility preferred..
