Maintenance Technician-Commercial Property Job in Boston 02062, Massachusetts US

Norwood based Real Estate Management Company is seeking a qualified,
motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee all maintenance responsibilities for a commercial property including 50 artist lofts, office, theater space and various retails tenants. The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are wide-ranging and quite diverse. Maintenance Technician will manage all responsibilities associated with the physical operations of this property. Some duties include but are not limited to:

• Responding to and completing daily tenant work orders.
• Constantly interact with all tenants on BCA staff to ensure the highest level of customer service.
• Managing all 3rd party service contracts and contract provisions.
• Providing corrective maintenance and overall upkeep of the grounds including but not limited to painting, carpentry, light electrical, basic HVAC maintenance, minimal plumbing, etc.
• Be available to participate in snow removal as needed including shoveling and salting during the periods of inclement weather.
• Respond to after hours emergencies 24 hour per day, 7 days per week to Boston's South End within ½ hour after the emergency call is received.
• Perform regular inspections of the facility and its equipment.
• Maintain all on-site files including contractor's invoices, receipts and all other building operation documents.

Candidate must have 3-5 years of property maintenance experience and will take ownership of all maintenance responsibilities as they relate to this property. Candidate must be able to work independently on a daily basis. revious esperience with commercial property and great customer service is prefered. Candidate must have working knowledge of current safety practices and regulations (OSHA), grounds maintenance, plumbing, heating and electrical systems to handle service calls and maintain vendor relationships. Candidate must be able to work in a team oriented environment and maintain excellent communication skills. The above listed job description is meant to be a guideline not a complete description. Maintenance Technicians are in constant need to be on their feet and participating in physical labor. They must have the ability to bend/squat/climb stairs/push/pull/climb ladders/etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
