Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all equipment to operate at its highest efficiency.
- Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
- Electronically log and maintain records of all detail pertaining to the Maintenance Department.
- Efficiently operate a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Communicate effectively with Operations regarding any scheduled or unscheduled machine down time.
- Consistently communicate with members of the Maintenance Department to ensure all members of the team are kept up to date on maintenance issues.
- Develop successful and beneficial relationships with vendors.
- Ensure all machine operators are properly trained to general machine maintenance that falls under the responsibility of the machine operator.
- Develop training to eliminate future problems and/or update current procedures.
- Initiate and perform tasks that improve efficiency and/or reduce costs.
- Create and maintain an active parts inventory for Preventative Maintenance parts.
- Monitor and maintain the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
- Participate in objective setting, plan development and plant performance reviews.
- Track, analyze and improve key metrics such as maintenance costs, Preventative Maintenance compliance and asset utilization.
- Ensure compliance of all city, county, state and federal regulations relating to the Maintenance Department.
- Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance technician experience, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
- Experience working with Trumpf press brakes and lasers and Pacific Press machines.
- Highly motivated with strong team leadership skills.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial mechanics.
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs, equipment replacement, and oversight of parts management.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to effectively schedule internal maintenance and coordinate with outside vendors to ensure timely resolution of machine/equipment issues.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers, including Windows based software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of general management with oversight of 5+ employees.
- Experience with Epicor’s Vantage and IQS software.
