MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Injection Molding
A great Molding Company is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Technicians for one of their operations located in the Lexington, KY area. As Maintenance Technician, your primary objective is maximum machinery up-time and minimum down-time. The Maintenance Technician is critical to support the Company’s goal to remain at the forefront of productivity and create a world class manufacturing environment with respect to the utilization of capital equipment. You will perform all routine preventative and predictive maintenance activities on the equipment, fix unexpected breakdowns, and perform other duties relating to facilities and grounds maintenance. Preventative and Predictive maintenance program(s) will be utilized to minimize down-time. Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to installation of capital equipment, and will be included in the planning for such installations.
Maintenance Technician Job Duties
- As Maintenance Technician, your primary objective is maximum machinery up-time and minimum down-time.
- Troubleshoot or repair Drives, Circuits, Motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, and typical plant equipment including production machinery, chillers, grinders, air compressors and so forth.
- Maintenance Techs will perform all routine preventative and predictive maintenance activities on the equipment, fix unexpected breakdowns, and perform other duties relating to facilities and grounds maintenance.
- Be a proactive part of the Preventative and Predictive maintenance program(s) to minimize down-time.
- Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to installation of capital equipment, and will be included in the planning for such installations.
Requirements for Maintenance Technician
- At least two years of multi-craft maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Experience and understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and the skill to perform these activities.
- Solid understanding of Plastic Processing equipment: bulk-material vacuum transfer systems, water pumps, grinders, chillers, hydraulics, motors, PLC's, wastewater handling, and other common industrial equipment.
- Ability to organize and plan your day in accordance with Maintenance Manager's expectations, and the drive to accomplish your duties with little direct supervision.
- Applicant must be a US Citizen or permanent resident. No sponsorship provided.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to: document problems and corrective actions, requisition replenishment of spare parts (MRO), and able to explain the significance of a breakdown.
