Marotta Controls, Inc. an industry renowned, well established manufacturer serving the defense and aerospace market for over 60 years is hiring for its Northern NJ headquarters facility.                                          

Summary

 

This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of CNC and conventional machine shop equipment, along with other plant and facilities support equipment. 

 

·         Diagnose, repair, and rebuild a variety of machine tools such as lathes, boring mills, shapers, grinders, power tools, fans, air handlers, pumps, gearboxes, mass spectrometers, Gas Chromatographs, plus research and facilities related equipment.

·         Coordinate, oversee and facilitate outside repair technicians when required.

·         Order and expedite required materials to facilitate repairs.

·         Plan, schedule and adjust work assignments/priorities based on information from various management groups and current workload assessments.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, plus related machines tools to produce and modify parts.

·         Use electronic measuring equipment for programmable logic controllers (PLC) and machine interfaces.

·         Use blue prints, Ladder logic diagrams, electrical and plumbing schematics and related technical documents, manuals and drawings.

·         Ability to properly lift at least 50 pounds and work in elevated and confined spaces.

·         Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive/operate vehicles and fork trucks.

 

Qualifications

·         4+ years of mechanical hands on repair or related experience.

·         Education/training in electronics and electrical systems desirable.
