Description: - MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN MACHINIST - TULSA, OK (1204647) Job Description MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN MACHINIST - TULSA, OK ( Job Number: 1204647) Role Synopsis Baker Hughes International (BHI) is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Machinist for the Artificial Lift Systems product line in the Tulsa, OK area. This position is responsible for Basic knowledge of machines, tools- lathes and mills and some CNC, and maintenance. Ability to work well and communicate well with others, in accordance with Baker Hughes policies. Additional responsibilities include working on new and use parts and getting them ready for use, under limited supervision. This position is a critical foundation for BHI contracts. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities * Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabrication of metallic and non-metallic parts that hold to the high quality machine standards required within the organization. * Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. * Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required. * Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. * Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. Basic Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance(GD T). * Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. * Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. * Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. * Ability to work well and communicate well with others. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Basic machinist experience. Experience with using Lathes and Mills. Some experience with CNC would be preferred. Other Details Able to work shift work.
