Maintenance Technicians and Industrial Electricians

Parthenon Metal Works, a Leggett Platt Company, located in La Vergne, Tennessee, has immediate openings for Maintenance Technicians and Industrial Electricians. Essentials duties of these positions will include the troubleshooting and repair of production equipment and the installation of new equipment / systems in a high volume, multi-shift, continuous operation. Preferred candidates will be highly motivated, willing to work safely, work irregular shift hours if needed and overtime. Maintenance Technician - Experience in welding and cutting - Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic repairs and installation - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the use of a multimeter - Basic machine shop ability - Strong mechanical aptitude - Able to provide own tools - Able to work unusual hours on short notice - Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company - Able to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, operating instructions, maintenance information and procedure manuals written in English - Able to write routine reports, instructions and correspondence in English - Able to effectively present information to small groups and/or individuals - Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; able to compute rates, ratios and percentages - Able to occasionally lift over eighty (50) pounds Industrial Electrician - Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems - Knowledge of hydraulic systems - Knowledge of PLC - Strong mechanical aptitude - Able to provide own tools - Able to work unusual hours on short notice - Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company - Able to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, operating instructions, maintenance information and procedure manuals written in English - Able to write routine reports, instructions and correspondence in English - Able to effectively present information to small groups and/or individuals - Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; able to compute rates, ratios and percentages
