Maintenance Technicians
2nd and 3rd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
Install, maintain and repair all types of mechanical and electrical equipment used for production as well as any necessary maintenance, repair or installation required for the building and property of the Company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough knowledge in the safety practices concerned with each of the six main areas of maintenance:
· MECHANICAL - Proficient at reading and understanding blueprints; welding; understand basics of operating power tools (drill press, saw, grinders, etc.); design and construct safety guards for existing machinery.
· ELECTRICAL - Able to work on and with all voltages in the plant; conduit planning and fitting; knowledge of basic industrial and domestic codes; trouble shoot most basic electrical equipment (motors, switches, solenoids, transformers).
· HYDRAULICS - Able to read, understand and design basic hydraulic circuits; trouble shoot hydraulic systems; rebuild main hydraulic components (cylinders, pump, etc.).
· PNEUMATICS - Able to read, understand and design basic pneumatic circuits; able to repair all air tools; knowledge of air compressor operation and maintenance; able to design, fabricate and install threaded pipe for air systems.
· ELECTRONICS - Able to read basic electronic print; able to operate basic electronic testing equipment; know basics of soldering and desoldering.
· MACHINING - Able to understand basic operation of machine shop equipment (mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc.); able to read parts drawings and detail prints; able to machine new tooling safely and with little supervision; know basic tool sharpening and equipment care.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Miscellaneous duties include but are not limited to painting, carpentry, welding, plumbing, roof repair, pipe fitting, moving/hooking up equipment, and crane/forklift, if necessary.
· Respond to trouble calls and provide cause/effect analysis for breakdown
· Strict compliance with all safety and health rules and programs.
· Adhere to all instructions, S.O.P.'s, and quality standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Minimum three to five years experience in industrial maintenance or related field and ability to perform the responsibilities listed above.
· Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent oral/written communication skills.
· Ability to follow direction but also work with little supervision.
· Previous work experience in high paced industrial/mechanical environment
· Must be able to work weekends or “on-call” if necessary.
· Flexibility to change shifts if necessary.
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Driver's license and vehicle required
Background check and drug screen required prior to hire.
