Maintenance Trainee (3rd shift)

Local Piqua, OH company has a current temp to hire opportunity for a 3rd shift Maintenance Trainee.  Starting rate is $14-$15 per hour.  This position requires an exceptional mechanical aptitude and demonstrated proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and general electrical knowledge.  This is a hands-on position.  Repairs and performs preventative maintenance on all production machinery, building equipment and building utilities according to preventative schedules and work order requests.  Reports any deficiencies to the Manager of Maintenance to designate the proper channel of repair or upgrade as needed.  Must furnish own hand tools needed in performing assigned tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Must be able to generate Service Request and fulfill Work Order requirements.

Individual must be able to express themselves through oral and written communication.

Cooperate and communicate with engineering, Machine Shop, Maintenance personnel and Machine Operations as needed to ensure continuous production and minimize down time.

Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual Preventative Maintenance tasks.

Must be able to read and interpret mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic prints.  basic knowledge and ability to read and interpret minor electrical prints and schematics.

Identifies and ensures that procedures are followed under the machine lock out/tag out program.

Maintains work areas in neat and orderly manner.

Must have knowledge to use hand tools and machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, power tools, measuring devices, basic electricaal testing equipment and other such tools typically associated with this type of position.

Troubleshoots repairs and replaces mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components on machines.
