Major Loss Team Manager

Full Job Description

To manage and co-ordinate the Property Complex and Major Loss Claims function to meet UK Claims objectives. Optimise use of resources and ensure targets and customer satisfaction are achieved to contribute towards sustained and profitable business growth.

Responsibilities will include:
- Promote effective and prompt settlement of claims.
- Contribute towards overall strategy and link to the setting of standards and targets for all claims handlers.
- Manage and co-ordinate resource to optimise performance, secure business objectives.
- Provide customers with first class claims service.
- Directly and indirectly investigate and negotiate claims.
- Pro-active approach to managing change and ability to identify market opportunities.
- Resolve, using business awareness, complex technical and contentious claims queries.
- Ensure adherence to all governance related matters.
- Manage and undertake ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
- People development: Advise and coach others as appropriate
