Chevron's Africa Latin America Exploration Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Malange Drilling Completion Team Lead (Contingent) located in Houston, Texas.
Overview:
This position will support the Southern African Stragetic Business Unit, SASBU, Block 14 Malange Major Capital Projects (MCP).
Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Represent DC function on Malange Project Leadership Team.
Prepare deliver DC information in Partner Workshops, DRB Meetings, Project Assurance Reviews, Stakeholder communications.
Typical Phase 3 DC Deliverables for MCP CPDEP include:
Detailed benchmarking studies for drilling completion activities.
Develop a Phase 3 Basis of Design and Basis of Estimate for preferred alternative.
Interface with Malongo Luanda Drilling Completion personnel for alignment on project plans.
Investigate potential Well Construction interface issues and develop mitigations.
Development well intervention and operating expense costs forecast for the well life
v Investigation any special equipment needs for the well design and prepare a list of the long lead items.
Develop a Risk Uncertainty Management plan to mitigate the well design uncertainties.
Contracting and procurement plans to support project.
Rig specification detail sourcing plan.
Staffing plan update for execution.
GO-36 well construction information.
SIMOPS agreements alignment with strategy and plan.
Develop Phase 4 Project Execution Plan.
Documented lessons learned best practices from Phase 3 activities.
Prepare deliver DC information in Partner Workshops, DRB Meetings, Project Assurance Reviews, Stakeholder communications.
Identify and evaluate well design changes and/or technology deployment into the project planning process to help drive cost reduction.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors of Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of directly related experience.
Broad drilling/completion/work over knowledge is required; experience in multiple SBUs and MCPs.
Experienced in offshore/deepwater well design and drilling operations.
Demonstrated performance in CPDEP work processes such as SWCPDEP, RUMS and MOC as well as working in an Asset Team environment.
Demonstrated performance in evaluating and deploying emerging drilling technologies. Demonstrated performance in working with ETC, industry, and/or service partners in developing and advancing emerging drilling technologies.
Demonstrated strong leadership behaviors that build successful relationships with inter-company cross functional teams. Past experience with mentoring and coaching early career employees.
