Responsibilities
- Perform screening mammography
- Position requires independent judgement and understanding of anatomical positioning to produce optimum screening imaging to assist radiologists in early detection and treatment of breast cancer
- Meet the MQSA standards
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Good decision making and customer service skills
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Registered radiological technologist with advance registration in mammography
- 1 year of mammography experience preferred
- DEXA certification preferred
Skills:
- Experience, knowledge, and skills in performing high quality screening mammography
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with support staff, providers, and radiologists
- Demonstrates initiative in fostering team work with the focus of providing excellent patient care
- Attention to detail
- Ability to provide patient education in clear manner
- Demonstrates knowledge in digital imaging and commitment to increase competency and technology changes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work is physically demanding: standing, bending, lifting, and pushing may be required when performing exams
- Knowledge of MQSA standards as well as an ability to perform QC
BLS, ARRT, and Medical Terminology required.
Pay,Benefits, Work Schedule
- Part Time (16 hours/week)
- Day Shift
- Wednesdays Fridays, 8:30am-5pm
- Non-Contract
