MAnagement Accountant
Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Southampton are seeking a Manufacturing Management Accountant for a Fixed term contract of 6 months with a realistic possibility of extension for the right candidate.
The role will be fully integrated in the UK Manufacturing Finance function and you will be responsible for the Financial controls and the delivery of accurate, timely and appropriate Financial / Manufacturing reporting to support the effective monitoring of one or more Business Units.
KPIs to include production volumes, yields, costs per unit, headcount, raw materials, variance to standard, capital expenditure and indirect department expenses.
The role will provide financial support to the Business Unit Director and management team helping to deliver against the company’s goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinating the month end processes
- Delivery of forecasts and budget
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Regularly audit SOX/ internal control processes
- monitoring and reporting of Fixed Assets
- Identifying cost saving opportunities
- Interface with the broader UK finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results
- Balance Sheet reconciliations, and journal posting and authorisations
- Liaising with the company’s internal and external auditors
The successful candidate will be an experienced Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent and have a demonstrable experience within Manufacturing and or distribution.
A sound working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley controls (SOX), will be required by the successful applicant.
