As Ladbrokes continues to grow we are seeking a Management Accountant to join the team based at our Head Office. The role will provide a range of duties including the following:
- This role will be responsible for the production and analysis of the monthly management accounts to close off
- The role will be really hands-on with the business and require you to liaise with all departments to ensure that costs are managed, forecasted accurately and issues/remedial action highlighted in a timely manner.
- Managing the monthly management accounts process with full commentary on variances and key point summaries.
- Liaison with the Planning and Analysis team in forecasting and planning overheads as well as to ensure consistency between internal and external reporting.
- Continual analysis of performance and highlighting remedial action
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in challenging assumptions and considering alternative views and interpretations - line management experience preferred.
- Relevant and practical accountancy experience in a medium to large industry environment
- Familiarity with complex accounting systems - preferably Oracle. A minimum of intermediate level spreadsheet skills.
- Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Experience of working in a high volume accounting processing function - working to demanding deadlines.
