Location: Co Cavan
Salary 50,000 – 65,000
Commercially astute Management Accountant required for an FMCG business located in Cavan. With strong financial planning analysis skills, you will add strategic insight to the business to drive revenues and growth. You will have a professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with 5 years’ commercial experience in commercial environment. As a key member of the Finance team, you will work closely with the CFO and get involved in all operational and commercial aspects of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Production of monthly management accounts to strict deadlines providing management with analysis of cashflow forecasting with associated commentary
- Management of annual statutory reporting
- In-depth KPI analysis including wage costs, purchasing costs, cash collection, together with all other expenditure and highlighting key pieces of information to management
- Preparation of forecasting reports and presentation to management
- Development and control of a centralised accounting system to ensure that accounts are produced efficiently and effectively
- Lead quality projects to deliver process efficiencies and cost savings
- Preparation and delivery of planning and forecasting reports to management for approval
- Systems development continuous improvement within the Finance function
- Liaise with Banks, external auditors and other external service providers as required
Ideal candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with up to 5 years’ commercial experience in fast paced environment
- Highly motivated and results oriented individual with strong commercial acumen
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite to this position as the successful candidate will liaise with non-finance personnel on a frequent basis
- Previous experience of a FMCG industry will be advantageous
