Management Accountant (Lending)
A well-known Private Bank is looking to recruit for an Management Accountant for the lending division. You will be responsible for carrying out regular financial reporting in respect of the lending division, including monthly PL reports, balance sheets and provision reporting. You will be assisting the divisional head and finance management with ad-hoc analysis in support of investment decisions and budget processes
Experience:
-Produce monthly management information, from preparation of journals through to final executive level reports;
-Monitor expenses incurred by the lending division, ensuring these are correctly approved and in line with contractual terms, and assist the divisional head in reaping cost savings and efficiencies;
-Produce quarterly static pool analysis and commentary to support ALCO decision-making;
-Liaise with outsource partners (lenders and brokers) for information and work with them to ensure accurate financial and liquidity information is reported to the Bank;
-Maintain an excellent control environment, including written procedures and general ledger reconciliation;
-London based but some travel required to regional offices
Skills:
-Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
-At least 3 years Management Accounting experience of working in a financial institution
-Demonstrate a good understanding of the lending business, its associated financial and non-financial risks and use this knowledge to interpret data and make recommendations that add value to the business;
