Management Associate

Management Associate – Labor Relations:
The Management Associate position is an entry-level position within United States Steel Corporation that prepares the college graduate for supervisory responsibilities in the Employee Relations Organization. Management Associates are provided training in conjunction with work assignments to assist in this development. The Management Associate - Employee Relations will:

Learn the labor relations functions and processes.
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Management Associate will become familiar with, and be able to interpret and implement the collective bargaining agreement for U. S. Steel's represented workforce.
Become familiar with the concepts of contract negotiation, grievance handling, progressive discipline, arbitration preparation and local issue settlements.
Assist in productivity improvements, job combinations and incentive programs.
Learn and understand the steelmaking process.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field is required.
Successful Candidate must possess communications, conflict management, time management, organization, and problem solving skills.

Internship in Labor Relations is desired
