Management Consultant – Risk and Regulatory recruitment
My Client a Management Consultancy with a fantastic reputation based in London, has a requirement for a Manager to join their Risk and Regulatory Stratergy Practice.
The Manager role provides considerable challenge, variety and opportunity for development in a client-facing environment. Through the role the candidate will design and deliver solutions to clients in the Financial Services sector to help them gain competitive advantage in a challenging regulatory environment.
Essential Experience:
- The role requires the application of a combination of strategic and financial analysis, regulatory interpretation, business analysis, operating model and project management techniques.
- You will be expected to have a strong level of knowledge of the regulatory landscape, and be able to help clients understand the interplay between various regulations (e.g. Basel 3, CRD IV, EMIR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank etc.)
- You will have deep knowledge of at least one of the following risk areas: funding liquidity, capital management stress testing, derivatives, trading and market risk, counterparty credit risk, CVA clearing, retail / corporate credit risk.
- You will understand the fundamental economics of bank business models and be able to articulate the strategic challenges arising from market and regulatory change.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree at graduate or undergraduate level.
- 3 years Risk and Regulatory consulting experience gained at a Big-4 (or similar) consultancy, ideally augmented with some experience in a strategy or change role in a major investment bank.
- Strong Risk or Regulatory subject matter and market knowledge is necessary.
- Experience in leading teams of 4 or more people.
- Experience managing project financials including budgeting and invoicing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
