Director level Project Delivery role

Strategic Project Delivery role across a programme of work where you will manage a team of Project Managers.
You will ensure high level performance across the team and ensure that the short term long term IT Project Objectives are in line with the overall Business strategy.
Executive level business engagement, strategy development, enterprise architecture governance, strong managerial and IT Programme/Project Management skills are required across this role.
Business Engagement
- Maintain a detailed awareness of the strategic business objectives across the organisation, and have an understanding of how current systems support these objectives and be aware of how emerging technologies can be better suited
- Work closely with other technology executives business stakeholders to ensure that current program of work are in line with short term and long term business objectives
- Coordinate future programs of work, ensuring that they are suitably scoped, estimations verified, and budget approvals are available
- Coordinate with teams members and business representatives to prepare business cases for project approval
People and Team Management
- Manage a develop a team of members (up to 6 Project Managers)
- Ensure a high level of performance and engagement across the team
- Ensure optimal delivery of business results from the business unit as a whole
Financials
- Generate accurate and timely reports on financials - current upcoming, taking actions necessary to prevent budget variations
- Status reporting on project performance and deliverables, and provide insight on how efficiency effectiveness can be improved
- Monitor risks associated, highlight address issues to prevent (or minimise) impact associated
Job Specific
- Provide strategic direction to projects to ensure the most optimal solutions, and ensure that they are in line with short long term business objectives
- Identify gaps between project deliverables and take action to address them
- Ensure Functional Requirements Specifications are being developed to a high standard
- Ensure that Business sponsors and Business stakeholders have a clear understanding of deliverables
Architectural Governance
- Provide strategic input into the development and maintenance of business function and application architecture (current and future state).
- Coordinate with the regional technology directors and CTO units to share local architecture planning and leverage their input
- Ensure that all projects are being executed in a manner which is consistent and in line with the future state architecture
Experience and skills required
- Ability to effectively communicate at the executive level
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills throughout scoping and prioritisation of tasks
- Extensive (and proven track record) in the development and implementation of business technology architectures
- Experience and Understanding of matrix business structures
- Ability to work in fast pace, challenging and demanding environment
- Strong problem solver with the ability to make decisions
- Financial Services experience in mandatory with strong preference for Wealth Management, Funds/Asset Management and or Superannuation experience
